i'm haven't paid my credit cards in 3 months and being bombarded w/ collection calls. at this point i'm worried my paycheck could be garnished and my family sued. am i screwed?
If you are already 90 days late on your cards the possibility of lawsuits, judgements, wage garnishment, liens, and frozen accounts certainly exists. The key here is that ignoring the problem won't make it go away, it only makes it worse. The closer the accounts get to being charged off (usually 180 days) the more pressure the creditor imposes to collect on the account.
